The event will be held at the The Westin Hotel located at 601 South College Street, downtown Charlotte, NC  from 7:30 p.m. – 12:00 midnight.  Semi-Formal attire is requested. We view our organization as a vital “link” to helping improve our community, and especially in assisting our young people in achieving academic success and infusing them with excitement, joy, and love for the arts and cultural activities.  The cost for admission is $100.00 per ticket* and a percentage of the proceeds from the Mardi Gras Fundraiser supports scholarships and educational advancement, as well as national and international community outreach programs. Click below to purchase tickets now!

Greetings,
I am delighted to welcome Links members and friends to the website of the Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Our site was designed with you in mind. We hope to give you an overview of our chapter's mission, history and service in our community.

Founded in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is an international organization of over 12,000 civic-minded women who are committed to friendship and service. The Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter), a local chapter of friends linked to change lives and serve others in our community, was founded in 1993. Our members live in Mecklenburg County and in the metro Charlotte area of North Carolina.

The Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter focuses on five areas for service programing including Services to Youth, Health and Human Services, National Trends and Services, the Arts and International Trends and Services. Specifically, our chapter has supported individual students with college scholarships, the Johnson C. Smith University Scholarship Endowment Fund, the Harvey B. Gantt Center for Art, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Performance Learning Center (a non-traditional high school), Reid Park Elementary School and it's surrounding community and other organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church's Genesis Fund "Spirit of Christmas" Children's Coat Drive, Multiple Sclerosis and R.A.I.N (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network).

In 2005 the Crown Jewels initiated a signature fundraising event, "The Crown Jewels Mardi Gras" which is held each year during Mardi Gras season to support our charitable giving. We welcome sponsorships and partners who would like to join us in providing funding for making a difference in our communities locally and beyond.

It is our pleasure to share with you who we are and what we do to serve others. Thank you for your interest.

With Sisterly Affection,
Felicia Hall Allen, Chapter President
